Insurance
Therapy services may be covered in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan, if it is determined to be medically necessary. Call your insurance prior to scheduling an appointment so that you know what fees to expect. Also remember that insurance companies require us to give you a diagnosis, which becomes part of your permanent medical record. This can affect future life insurance rates and have an impact on certain professions. Insurance companies can also require a therapist to share the notes of your treatment in order for them to determine medical necessity. The only way to keep your session completely confidential is to pay for it out of pocket.

Note: Educational testing, nexus letters, Veteran evaluations for service connection, court ordered evaluations, fitness for duty exams and those to determine your ability to work are not covered by insurance.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
Does my deductible apply to mental health benefits?
What is the the amount or percentage that I must pay per session?
Is pre-authorization required?

Sliding Scale Fees

As a National Health Service Corps Site, this practice serves all patients regardless of one's ability to pay. Discounts for essential services are offered depending upon family size and income. You may apply for a discount by calling our front desk 404-635-6021 or in-person.

Payment
Cash, check and all major credit cards are accepted for payment.

Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment and you have not notified our office at least 72 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Insurance will not cover these fees; therefore, you will be responsible for the entire cost. Short notice cancellation fees are due at the beginning of your next session.
